Knowing the Future...

If everyone lived knowing what their future would hold, I think they would definitely live it differently. There are so many people who could have lived longer, but because of health complications, they lost their life early on. By knowing what the future holds, many people would probably live healthier lives, in knowing that they can prolong their life. Knowing that one can take preventative measures to prevent or prolong a health issue, would certainly make all the difference in the world. This would also allow people to get treated early on, before the disease worstens. Knowing what the future holds would also cause people to live and lead better lives. As the saying goes,"you never know what tomorrow holds". By knowing the future people will learn to cherish others and to live each day as though it were their last. On the other hand, knowing the future could cause the disease to worsten. It would probably cause people to question their life, in hopes of an answer.Factors such as Depression, scuicide, drug overdoses, etc, could cause an end to one's life, due to stress or death issues. In all knowing the furture to ones health can have many positive and negative factors.

It is true that if we can prolong our future, will be a good solution to prevent our healthy life. But as I you mention in the article stress has to deal many important issues in our life. Stress, also can give you many diseases or many other difficult factors to deal.

  2. Knowing all the specifics of your life (who, when, where, etc) really would make it not even worth living. I know I wouldnt find much point in life if its already all mapped out. It would just be "going through the motions." I had a different interpretation in "living for your future"... I didnt take it so much as being able to see the future, but more about people living with theri best interest in mind and taking the time to making the right decisions to truely live a the healiest lifestyle so things are as healthy as possibke later in life. That differs from the average persons way of thinking today with the consumer driven society, our thoughts of invincibility as adolesence, or the disintrest in personal health most have today. I took living for the future to be something similar to "looking before leaping"

  3. I agree and believe if people knew what the future held they would do certain things differently. My mother recently discussed with me that she wishes she would have used more sunscreen when she was growing up. Her skin is fair and becoming more freckled as she ages. When she was young they were not educated on protecting the skin and possible skin cancer risks from sun exposure.
I have very fair skin and have to keep it protected from the sun. I practice protecting my skin for the future by putting sunscreen lotion on my hands and arms when I drive!
